Room-to-Room Scavenger Hunt

Have on Hand: Paper, something to write with, little prizes or objects around the house to wrap up, wrapping paper or newspaper

Boredom Buster Description:  Write out clues leading from a specific place in one room of the house to the next. Help school-age kids learn to write their own poetry by making it rhyme:
"Look under where we eat, on top of the seat."
 (chair at the dining table)
Then wrap up little objects from around the house as "prizes" along with the next clue. You can create the scavenger hunt for the kids, they can create it for each other, or they can create it for you, which they think is the most fun!

Boredom Buster Bio:      Kristi Valiant is a children's book author and illustrator. She's recently illustrated THE GOODBYE CANCER GARDEN, CORA COOKS PANCIT, and the Little Wings series. Her picture book about sneaky, dancing penguins, PENGUIN CHA-CHA, comes out in 2013.

Thank you, Kristi Valiant, for this great idea!
