While you can certainly spend hundreds of dollars on store-bought or character themed dress-ups - yard sales, thrift shops and grandma's closet may hold the finest, most fun and economical treasures. Look for variety in color, style and sizes and think role playing while you shop. After all your little princess might want to play news reporter some days and your fireman might "magically" become the Caped Crusader. Don't forget to check out hats, shoes, jewelry scarves and other accessories as well..
Make sure you give each item a good sanitizing wash before you add it to the collection. Then store your dress-ups on portable clothing racks, shoe racks and shelves - which makes them more easily mixed, matched and used. Have fun!
