Easy-Peasy Treasure Hunt

Have on Hand:
Crayons or Markers
Paper
Items that start with "p"

Boredom Buster Description:
1. Make a list of all the items you can think of that start with the letter "P." (Examples: peas, pickles, puppets, panthers, poems, princess paraphernalia)
2. Find as many of these items as you can in your house.
3. Draw pictures of the ones you can't find (like panthers).
4. Make a list of the places in your house that start with "P" where you could hide things. (Examples: plumbing, pantry, pottery, packing crate)
5. Place either an item or the picture of an "P" item in each "P" place and write a clue for each one.
6. Presto! A P-easy Treasure Hunt.

Boredom Buster Bio: Nine-year-old Audrey Faye Hendricks was bored, too. All she had to play with during her week in jail was a board game. But when 4,000 other kids, all under the age of 18, joined her, she got pretty excited. Read how they changed American history in We’ve Got a Job: The 1963 Birmingham Children’s March (Peachtree Publishers, Feb. 1, 2012). http://www.cynthialevinson.com/publications/books-for-young-readers/

Thank you, Cynthia Levinson, for this great idea!
